Child Care Systems of America
Child Care Systems of America, Inc believes that the years between infancy and kindergarten are the foundations of a lifetime of successful learning. Research shows that children learn best through play and "hands on" experiences in an environment rich with learning opportunities. Fundamental to learning is a nurturing caregiver/teacher who understands child development theory and practice, and knows how to implement that knowledge to meet each child's individual needs. Children are part of a small group in order to assure their safety and to provide the personal attention your child deserves. Our spacious playground areas allow children to safely play and enjoy their time outdoors. We are proud of our reputation as specialists in quality child care. Parents may enroll their children and any children for whom they have legal guardianship who are between the ages of 6 weeks and 10 years by submitting an application and completing the enrollment process at the Center. No child will be denied enrollment on the basis of race, color, religious belief, national origin, disability, gender, or any other legally protected category. Nor shall any child be subjected to discrimination or be excluded from participation in any program or activity. Curriculum: The Children's Center has developed a program for each age group that is developmentally appropriate, and meets the early childhood professional standards for the highest quality. Our philosophy of early childhood education and classroom curriculum is based on the following resources: - Developmentally Appropriate Practice in Early Childhood Programs (published by NAEYC, Washington, DC). This professional organization has developed the most widely accepted standards for child care program quality in the early childhood field. These standards incorporate solid, research-based practices and guidelines for each age group. - The Creative Curriculum for Infants and Toddlers and The Creative Curriculum for Early Childhood (published by Teachings Strategies, Inc.) serves as the core curriculum in each CCSA child care center. This nationally recognized, award-winning curriculum and training materials incorporates the research of renowned developmental theorists such as Jean Piaget and Erik Erikson in a practical tool for teachers in early childhood programs. - The WEE Learn Christian based curriculum for Infants and Toddlers is framed by theory and philosophy of life. Led by faith and grounded in evidence-based practices, programs using the WEE Learn philosophy and curriculum work to support children and families. Children's individual differences and learning styles are considered as children learn through play and interactions with supportive early childhood teachers to maximize each child's learning potential. This thoughtful and well-planned curriculum has a multiple theoretical basis. By blending what is known from Bronfenbrenner's ecological systems theory, Piaget's theory of development, Erikson's stages of development and Gardner's theory of multiple intelligences, early childhood teachers prepare individually and age-appropriate experiences for young children." The Children's Center provides curriculum resources and materials as well as training for each caregiver/teacher. In addition, each parent receives a Parent's Guide to Infant/Toddler Programs or Parent's Guide to Preschool Programs upon enrolling their child.
