Classes at Arrowmont. Arrowmont offers one, two-week and weekend workshops throughout the spring, summer and fall for adults ages 18 and over.
- Skill levels. Most courses are for "all levels," meaning the class is suited for students at beginning, intermediate or advanced ability levels. Some classes declare a particular level -beginning, intermediate, advanced or master. It is important for students to register for the class that meets their experience level in the given medium.
- Two-Week Workshops. Two-week classes are available in the summer sessions only and are a more intensive version of our popular one-week workshops. The longer time period makes it possible for the faculty to structure their class for a more in-depth experience, and enables students’ time to grasp the concept and implement ideas. A two-week class really provides an inspiring educational get-away.
- Instruction Times. For one and two week workshops, formal instruction will begin Sunday evening from 7:30-9:30 pm. Class times are Monday through Friday 9:00 am - 4:30 pm. The studios, resource center and gallery remain open until midnight during both one-week and two-week classes and over the weekend during two-week classes. Weekend workshops begin Friday evening from 7:30-10:00 pm and meet Saturday 9:00-5:00 pm and Sunday 8:00-3:00 pm. Studios are open Friday and Saturday until midnight.
- Wireless Internet. Wireless Internet is available throughout campus to students with laptop computers. Two iMac computers and a PC are available for student use in the resource center. Students are also able to print to the color Xerox copier from these workstations.
- Art Supply Store. Arrowmont’s Art Supply Store is stocked with many supplies you may need for your class as well as reading materials often recommended by faculty for purchase. Artwork by past resident artists is also available for sale. Personal care items are not sold in the store.
- Arrowmont's Library is located in the main building on campus and houses over 10,000 books and reference materials to support Arrowmont's programs. It is also open to the community.
