Harding was established to ensure that young men and women can receive a quality education in a Christian environment. Each day students are taught from a biblical view, the truths that will help them become well-rounded in personality, sound in educational competency, and prepared to contribute to their community.
The college-preparatory nature of the Academy is reflected in our demanding curriculum and admissions policies. The high standards of excellence established throughout the Harding community guide us in a sustained passion for continuous improvement and innovation. Moreover, we desire to lead each student toward an understanding that God is real, that His Word is truth, and that His plan for one's life is worth lifelong effort.

Character:
The diversity of our course offerings and the graduation requirements guarantee that each graduate will take with him a significant exposure in all major academic areas. At the heart of the Academy is our commitment to offer young people a source of truth, strength, and vision for living in today's changing world.
Religious Affiliation:
Harding Academy is an independent private Christian school that is affiliated with the churches of Christ and operates under an independent Board of Directors.
Extracurricular Events:
Just as important as a student's academic and spiritual growth are his social and emotional growth. Harding gives a great deal of attention to instilling within each student a sense of belonging and self-worth. Each student is encouraged to become involved in at least one activity outside of class. In addition, according to their age group and class-level, students attend a variety of events in the Memphis area and have numerous opportunities for community service.
Athletics:
The sports program at Harding begins with opportunities for junior kindergarten and continues to build skills through grade twelve that can be used throughout life. Many opportunities for intramural and interscholastic competition exist. Harding is a member of the Tennessee Secondary Schools Athletic Association and participates in secondary level cross-country, soccer, volleyball, football, basketball, baseball, cheerleading, softball, tennis, wrestling, bowling, golf, and track and field.
