Advent Electric Incorporated provides more than infrared services. We utilize several technologies to accurately analyze your Electrical Distribution System (EDS).
Detecting electrical problems that are сhiddenт or problems that may not be causing heat (such as arcing, tracking, etc.) can be detected before the electrical failure occurs. The most effective method of inspection is to combine ultrasonic testing with infrared thermography.
Arcing
Ultrasound equipment will hear arcing in circuit breakers, switches, contacts and relays. In most instances, a quick scan of a door seal or vent will detect the ultrasound emission.
Loose connections
Arcing, corona or tracking, as well as partial discharges and mechanical looseness, all produce detectable ultrasound that warn of impending failure.
