At Barfield, we offer programs for students from infancy to adult, designed to maximize skill development and a love for dance. Our facility houses 4 dance studios, with a total of 2800 sq. ft. of dance floor! All of the wooden floors have an airspace underneath them to protect the dancers` muscles, bones, and joints. Each program is designed to maximize skills development and a love of dance.
Our emphasis is on both creative movement and technique, using proven classic and developmentally sound systems of instruction. Barfield is dedicated to nurturing a healthy, optimistic outlook on life. You can rest assured that your child will be introduced to dance and music as forms of art and creativity. Parents are invited to attend a monthly class observation period, where they can see for themselves their child`s progress.
Our classes are offered year-round. We offer two enormously popular 5-day Dance Camps in July (awarded Best Summer Camp in Murfreesboro, 6 consecutive years). Dancers can attend Day Dance Camps or Overnight Dance Camps. All campers perform a fully costumed performance at the end of the week.
Each June our tap, jazz, ballet, and kinderdance students perform in a spectacular production which consistently draws rave reviews for both its artistic and technical content.Barfield dancers transition easily into other areas of dance and athletics, including gymnastics, soccer, cheerleading, and basketball.
Barfield School of Dance offers four fully equipped dance studios with over 2800 square feet of hardwood air dance floors.
We also have a large outdoor pool staffed with Red Cross certified water safety instructors and lifeguards.
We are located on Barfield road, just one mile from the intersection of Barfield and Salem Pike, which is just beyond the 1-24 overpass on Salem Pike.
We are just 5 minutes from Cason Lane, Indian Hills, Savannah Ridge, Innsbrooke, and South Ridge.
