Allied Music Instructors are self-employed and as such, they keep their own schedules, in General, you will meet once a week for 30-minutes. There are 42-lessons within a calandar year - the 10 no-lesson-weeks (that are not part of the tuition) are used to absorb major holiday times; i.e. July 4th, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Spring Break; times when we know large numbers of students are going to be absent. This results in there being between 3-5 lessons per month. Contact the Instructor to discuss scheduling. |

Allied Music Instructors
Our goal at Allied Music Instructors is to encourage learning and growth through music education that is both serious and fun, to provide parents a means to enhance their children`s minds, and to enrich the lives of all our students. Although tuition is based on a 42-lesson year, lessons are on an ongoing basis. You may begin whenever you wish and may withdrawal by filling out a conveniently provided withdrawal form found at each location. Just hand it in with your last payment. Be sure, however, to read your Instructor`s Policies regarding withdrawals. Given the 42-lesson year, tuition is averaged over a 12-month period. Tuition determined by and is paid directly to the teacher, by check, at the first lesson of each month. Lessons are offered to groups of 2-4 people of about the same age and level of ability. Group lessons provide the same quality of instruction as private lessons, but save you money. They are also less intimidating, help to develop group skills, and provide positive reinforcement from both the instructor and classmates. We provide group lessons for Guitar (Electric, Acoustic, and Classical), Drums/Percussion, Piano, Voice, Violin, & Brass/Winds and The Childbloom Guitar Program (for kids 5 - 12). The Childbloom Guitar Program The Childbloom Guitar Program is a comprehensive musical education program for children between the ages of 5 and 12. Kevin Taylor, of Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas, developed it in 1980. Through an initial "limited-rote" approach, students are able to play music quickly and successfully. "We want to give the kids a learning victory in the first lesson," says Taylor. "They don`t want to wait to play music. Can you blame them?" The curriculum used in the Childbloom Program is comprised of music arranged in parts; the student not only learns solo-playing skills, but ensemble skills as well. "We have found," says Taylor, "that the more parents are involved in this process, the faster the student learns, the more the student learns, and the more persistent the student will be.
