Mcmillian Eye Care
Astigmatism occurs when the cornea, or surface of your eye, is irregularly shaped. A perfectly shaped cornea is spherical, like a baseball, allowing all light rays to enter your eye to focus on the retina. As a result, the image you see is sharp and crisp. With astigmatism, the shape of the cornea is irregular -- more like a football than a baseball -- causing the light rays to focus on two points rather than one. The result is distorted or blurred vision.
Dr. McMillian attended the prestigious Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee under the U.S. Army`s Health Professions Scholarship Program. He graduated in 1994 and went on to serve four years of active duty in the U.S., Germany, and Bosnia. He is a member of the American Optometric Association, Tennessee Optometric Association, and the Northwest Tennessee Optometric Association.

LASIK
Andreea E Partal, M.D., is a LASIK specialist at Cape Regional Eye Center, the premier ophthalmic practice in Northwest Tennessee. Dr. Partal is a respected Cornea and LASIK specialist. Her areas of expertise include LASIK, Epi-LASIK, PRK, refractive lens exchange, and other refractive surgery procedures. Dr. Partal grew up in Europe and in Cleveland, Ohio and graduated with honors from Case Western Reserve University, where she also received her medical degree. She completed her ophthalmology training at Stanford University in California, where she served as chief resident. She completed a fellowship in Refractive Surgery and Cornea-External Disease at Emory University, one of the largest most comprehensive eye care facilities in the country.
