Contact Lens
We offer the latest in contact lenses technology including bifocal contacts, contacts for astigmatism, contacts with fashion tints, and other speciality contact lenses.
Children`s Vision
Dr. Rhyne offers a complete vision evaluation of children who exhibit problems with the vision system resulting in the inability to function as expected. This includes those who have learning problems related to the visual system as well as those who exhibit strabismus (eye turning) and amblyopia (lazy eye). He works closely with other specialists who have similar interests.
Vision Rehabilitation Service
Dr. Rhyne offers evaluations and treatments for those who exhibit vision-related difficulties after suffering trauma (accident, stroke, etc.).
Vision Therapy
We offer in-office therapy for those who have problems with the visual system whether because of delayed velopment and inability to process visual stimuli, or because of interference with the developed visual system (stroke, trauma, etc.).
Vision Evaluations
We offer complete eye exams including detection and treatment of eye disease as well as evaluating the need for vision correction. Referrals are made to appropriate specialists when indicated.

Dr. David Patton moved to the Powell area after graduating from Southern College of Optometry in 1976. At that time, he joined Dr. Jim Tumblin and Dr. M. W. Rhyne in their Fountain City practice. In 1978, Dr. Rhyne and Dr. Patton established the current office
location at 715 Callahan Drive. Dr. Patton practices general optometry and sees patients of all ages for diagnosis and treatment of eye disease, and examination for glasses or contact lenses.
