Our Rooms. All guest rooms have their own, in-suite, full baths and large closets. All guest rooms are located upstairs and are accessed via the curved oak stairway. All rooms have windows which look out onto the Caney Fork River’s vistas. Wireless Internet is available through-out. Standard price is for 2 people with a minimum 2 night stay and includes a delicious complimentary hot breakfast.
- The Gold (English) Room is very large (18 feet x 18 feet) and features a Gas Log fireplace, a shared balcony overlooking the river, leather love seats, King size poster bed, chest, and walk in closet.
- The Blue (French) room is another very large room, containing two queen beds, dresser, chest, electric log fireplace, and walk-in closet.
- The Green (Botanical) Room shares the balcony with the Gold room, although smaller, it is large at 16 foot by 16 foot with a Queen bed, a day bed, and dresser.
Whether you want to rock or swing on the front porch and watch the martins,spend time on the deck or a hammock above the Caney Fork River in front of the stacked stone fireplace, or stroll the 1/4 mile river walk, the beauty of the Upper Cumberland nature overwhelms. Inside, curl up with a book or watch a movie while seated on the leather couch or recliners in front of the gas log fireplace next to the guest kitchen with a microwave and a fridge for your drinks. A downstairs guest restroom is located behind the oak stairway. The screen porch provides another seating and dining area with wonderful river views.
Dreaming by the River is a smoke-free facility. Smoking is allowed on the screened porch and deck. Please note we cater to adults. However, families with children 14 and older are welcome. The river is quite deep here making the area inappropriate for small, unattended children. Check-out is 11 a.m. with Check-in beginning at 3 p.m.
Special Events. Dreaming by the River is also available to host small meetings, or office parties, social events and small weddings. Weddings must be booked at least 90 days in advance of event. Large Striped Bass fishing is best where the Caney Fork flows into the Cumberland River. Fishing has been only fair on Cordell Hull and Center Hill Lakes close by. The new boat launch by Paris Crump Park (1 mile by road, 7 by water) is open. Visiting a student at Tennesse Tech, Vanderbilt, Cumberland, or other local Universities? Students can join you for breakfast or having a picnic lunch on our deck.
